Eligibility Criteria:

  • Experience as a Duty Supervisor or in a similar leadership role
  • Background in customer service is a big plus
  • Helpful to have worked in this field before
  • Comfortable handling cash and doing basic bookkeeping
  • Able to lead and support a team effectively
  • Well-organized and good at managing time
  • Familiar with office tasks or basic security duties
  • Great at solving problems and thinking on your feet
  • Open to working shifts, including weekends
  • A degree in Business Administration is helpful, but not required
  • At least 2 years in a supervisor or management position
  • 5+ years in a customer service role is a bonus
  • Strong office management skills and attention to detail
  • Confident using a computer and office software
  • Clear and professional communication, both speaking and writing
  • Able to lift up to 15 kg when needed
  • Knows the basics of workplace safety
  • Great at handling challenges and finding solutions

Duties:

  • Set clear goals for the team each month, quarter, and year
  • Work with management to review and apply company policies
  • Keep track of income and cash flow, and share regular updates
  • Make sure everyone follows company rules
  • Help train and support new team members
  • Step in to handle any performance concerns with staff
  • Check in regularly to see how your team is feeling at work
  • Adjust schedules when needed to keep operations running smoothly
  • Help plan the department’s budget
  • Handle customer complaints in a calm and professional way
  • Organize regular maintenance and cleaning of the workplace
  • Meet with senior managers to talk about business updates
  • Keep the workplace safe for everyone
  • Supervise the shop floor and ensure staff know their daily tasks
  • Hold quick meetings to go over shift plans and team needs
  • Make sure the team is reaching goals and working efficiently
  • Plan work schedules to make sure shifts are fully covered
  • Help team members request time off and track leave
  • Step in to resolve team disagreements fairly
  • Lead performance reviews every 3 months and once a year
  • Track and meet important performance goals (KPIs)
  • Help with basic accounting and payment tracking
  • Share updates and key info with upper management
  • Take care of employee concerns quickly and respectfully
  • Make sure customers receive great service every time
  • Book any tools, spaces, or support the team needs in advance
  • Follow all health and safety rules
  • Prepare reports on budgets, team performance, and efficiency

Pay: In the UK, duty managers typically earn about £34,500 a year, or around £12.56 an hour. Beginners usually start at £22,000, while those with more experience can make up to £36,222 a year.
