Zambian professionals can now apply for Stage 1 of the Ireland-Africa Fellows Programme 2025. The program is for those in the early or mid-point of their careers, especially in government or civil society. It’s a valuable opportunity for people who want to grow their skills and contribute to Zambia’s progress.
Chosen applicants will get a fully funded one-year master’s degree at top universities in Ireland. The program aims to support future leaders from Zambia by giving them high-level education that matches Zambia’s development needs and the goals of the Irish Embassy.
Those taking part in the program will gain more than just a top-quality education. They’ll also connect with others, learn from new viewpoints, and build key skills for leadership and good governance. The goal is to empower them to make a positive impact in their communities and help Zambia grow and develop.

Requirements:
- Must be a Zambian citizen currently living in Zambia
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least Merit from a recognized university
- Have at least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Not already hold a Master’s degree or higher
- Plan to start a new Master’s program in August or September 2025
- Be employed by an approved government or civil society organization
- Choose three relevant courses to apply for
- Show strong commitment to Zambia’s development goals
- Follow the official application process set by the Zambian government
- Meet the English language requirements for Irish universities (usually proven with IELTS)
- Have not applied more than once before for the Ireland Fellowship
