The Commonwealth Innovative Youth Essay Award 2024 is now open for entries. There are cash prizes of £1,000 for the 1st place winner, and £500 each for the 2nd and 3rd place winners. This competition, run by the Commonwealth Secretariat, invites young people aged 18-29 from Commonwealth countries to write about the theme “Think Trade, Think Green.” The goal is to explore how trade and trade policies can help tackle climate change in your country. Eligibility Criteria:
- You need to be between 18 and 29 years old.
- You must be a citizen of a Commonwealth country.
- Look at the list of Commonwealth countries to see if yours is included.
Prizes and Honor: - 1st prize: £1,000
- 2nd and 3rd prizes: £500 each
The top three essays will be published in the Trade Competitiveness Briefing Series and will be featured at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Samoa this October.
