For this job, it’s important to stay positive, work well with others, and notice small details. Out in the fields, you’ll be picking fruits such as apples, oranges, and peaches.
Responsibilities:
- First, you’ll repair any baskets that are damaged or worn out.
- You’ll get the bins ready in the yard before fruit picking starts.
- After that, you’ll head to the fields to start picking fruit.
- You’ll also need to sort the good fruits from the ones that are damaged.
- You’ll also place the fruit in the correct boxes.
- You’ll also stick stickers on the boxes.
- You’ll place the fruit boxes on the truck and make sure they’re the right weight.
- You’ll even out the soil, pull weeds, gather rocks, clear more weeds, and rake the dried leaves.
Eligibility Criteria:
- To get started, you’ll need either a high school diploma, an AQF Certificate I, or an ANZSCO Skill Level 5.
- You also need to be between 18 and 30 years old.
- Lastly, you need to speak and write English well, with a minimum score of 4 on the IELTS test.
