Pharmacy professionals are a key part of the healthcare team.They help keep pharmacies running smoothly by managing medicine supplies, organizing shelves, and labeling prescriptions. They also support patients by giving helpful advice, checking medical histories, and making sure medications are used safely. Plus, they stay up to date with the latest in healthcare and medicine.

Job Duties:

  • Check prescriptions from doctors to make sure they’re legal and safe to use
  • Keep the pharmacy well-organized and track medicine inventory accurately
  • Make sure medications are delivered, stored, labeled, and checked for quality
  • Talk to customers, answer their questions, and offer helpful advice
  • Help with basic health checks like blood pressure and temperature
  • Prepare medications with the right dose and ingredients for each patient
  • Keep clear records of medication use and patient interactions
  • Join team meetings and work with other healthcare staff to learn and improve
  • Follow all pharmacy rules, safety guidelines, and legal requirements
  • Double-check and prepare prescriptions for patients
  • Spot possible drug interactions and explain them to patients
  • Manage stock and store medications correctly
  • Offer community services, like delivering medicine to patients
  • Create programs to support common health issues like diabetes or high blood pressure
  • Guide and train pharmacy assistants and interns
  • Keep the pharmacy clean, organized, and welcoming for everyone

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or a similar field from a recognized school
  • A valid license or work permit to work as a pharmacist in Canada
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with both patients and healthcare staff
  • Great attention to detail to ensure safe and accurate medication handling and record-keeping
  • Previous experience as a pharmacist, with solid knowledge of medications and dosage calculations
  • Comfortable using pharmacy software and Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong organizational skills and a focus on providing excellent care to clients
  • Honest, compassionate, and dedicated to supporting patient health
