Students who want to broaden their academic horizons abroad can now apply for scholarships for research positions at leading universities in Taiwan. Supported by Austria’s Federal Ministry of Education, Science, and Research (BMBWF), this program is open to diploma and master’s students eager to pursue studies in fields like Natural Sciences and more.
The program is run by DeAD-GmbH, Austria’s Agency for Education and Internationalization, which makes the application process smooth for qualified students. This scholarship offers financial aid and encourages global collaboration, giving students the chance to dive into a rich academic setting while contributing to research projects in Taiwan. By joining the program, students can broaden their knowledge, gain valuable experience, and create connections that may help their future careers.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to Austrian and EU citizens enrolled in a public university, private university, or university of applied sciences in Austria.
- Applicants should have completed at least one semester of the second part of their diploma or one semester of their masters before applying.
- Students who are currently taking exams or involved in research are also eligible.
- There is no age limit, but the scholarship is meant for early-career researchers looking to advance their academic paths.
- The scholarship can only be used once by each applicant and cannot be extended.
Necessary Papers:
- Resume in English
- A research or study plan explaining why Taiwan was chosen and describing academic objectives.
- Two recommendation letters from university professors (no more than six months old).
- Confirmation of support from the Taiwanese host organization.
- Official academic transcripts and degrees (in English).
- Additional samples of artistic work.
