The University of Arkansas is now accepting applications for its 2026–2027 scholarships: Future Leaders, University, and Achievement.These scholarships support first-time college students who show strong academics, leadership, and personal growth.
Each award has a special focus:
- Future Leaders – for those active in leadership and extracurriculars
- University – for high academic achievers
- Achievement – for students who’ve overcome challenges or shown strong improvement

Overview:
The University of Arkansas offers three competitive merit-based scholarships: Achievement, University, and Future Leaders. Awards are based on GPA, enrollment status, and available funding.
- Achievement Scholarship – $6,500/year
- University Scholarship – $4,500/year
- Future Leaders Scholarship – $2,000/year
Scholarships help cover tuition, key fees, and housing. Recipients must live in campus housing to receive full benefits.
Requirements:
To qualify for these scholarships at the University of Arkansas, students must:
- Be first-time undergraduate students
- Be U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens
- Submit all required documents to Admissions by the deadline
- Meet these minimum GPAs based on their 6th or 7th high school semester:
- Achievement Scholarship: 4.00 GPA
- University Scholarship: 3.75 GPA
- Future Leaders Bursary: 3.50 GPA
Early high school graduates may qualify using 4th or 5th semester transcripts.
Requirements to Start and Keep Your Scholarship:
To keep their scholarship, students must take at least 15 credit hours per semester and meet GPA requirements.
- After year one: Complete 27 credit hours with a GPA between 2.75–3.25, depending on the scholarship.
- In later years: Earn 30 credit hours per year with a GPA of:
- 2.75 (Future Leaders)
- 3.00 (University)
- 3.25 (Achievement)
Missing these requirements may result in loss of the scholarship with no chance to get it back.
